What's going on down here?

Hi!

Crazy stuff is happening down here. Our investigator, Joann, is having problems reaching her goal of baptism. The spanish Elders came up from Pueblo to help us talk to her "husband" about getting married (since he only speaks spanish). They resolved it, we thought and we planned for baptism that week. But five minutes before her interview she informs us that her husband changed his mind and doesn't want to get married because he doesn't want to go through the process of divorce. So we were pretty bummed. She is at the point where she has to decide if she'll move out. So we keep praying really hard and fasting for her but I don't know what will happen. She wants it so bad but she won't make that last step.

Well, we were low on our miles this month, so we went to walking everywhere. But because we walked everywhere the Lord placed people in our path. As we were walking through main street of La Junta, where all the businesses are, we passed this random house. Sis. Hamilton felt good about knocking on it and the person who answered asked if he had met me in Garden City. The first thought was "Sis. Drinkwater, the blonde hair". He had been ITLed by her and called the number for a BofM. The crazy thing is that he doesn't live there, he was helping someone move. We got his information and set up a return appt. Then we had an amazing lesson with a recent convert family. We showed them the "Testaments" and the spirit was really strong. The best part was that a non-member cousin was there and she was crying her eyes out. We gave her a BofM and she has been reading it. About 10 minutes after leaving that appt. we walked past a house and felt prompted to knock on it. An old lady answered and let us in. We taught her a first and gave her a date. The great thing is that she understood really well for a 85 year old lady. A couple of hours later, we were walking to the church for the Young Womens Broadcast and we were ITLing this guy when a member called. Some girls from the College basketball team were coming over and she wanted us to "stop by" and talk with the girls. Her husband is a basketball coach at the college. So we "stopped by" and pretended that we were just passing through. We asked if we could leave a "spiritual thought" from the BofM. We then asked if the two girls would want a copy and we asked them to read from it. We then set up a return appt for Tuesday to teach them a 1st. Sweet! If we hadn't been walking we wouldn't have had that miracle. Then we got to the Broadcast and made it for the last two talks. Sister Dalton and Elder Utchdorf spoke. They spoke on our divinity as daughters of God and pushing through adversity. All which I needed to hear. So it was an amazing day!
